Escaping from the Colombian civil war, one family landed on Puerto Cesar, a port owned by FundaUniban. Instead of kicking the family off their land, FundaUniban hired the family to work on reforestation of the local fertile land and supported the family to build a village of displaced Colombians. The new developed fishing port is now home to over 20 families.
